3D heads up display Brain and Spine Surgery at Anne Arundel Medical Center

Dr. Burke performs the first surgery at AAMC using 3D heads up technology
3-D heads up display allows the surgeon to have the most detailed view of the surgical anatomy, while maintaining proper ergonomics to avoid surgeon fatigue

Anne Arundel Brain and Spine has just performed the first surgery at AAMC using a new cutting edge technology to allow hi definition images in 3D to the surgeon. The surgical exoscope combines the advantages of the surgical microscope(microsurgery) with endoscopes. This allow the surgeon see details of the patient's anatomy that was not possible in the past, while allowing the surgeon to remain comfortable and less fatigued during the procedure. This is an example medical technology improving the ability to perform difficult procedures and patient safety.
